You can find the sweetest collection of jewellery over at Kate Hamilton-Hunter Studio. There are earrings and necklaces made from 'recycled and reclaimed biscuit tins' that are all handmade with care and flair in North Wales. I especially love these small rectangle earrings made from an old pastille tin. They're only £13.99 too!
If you want to try a new recipe this long weekend that utilises a seasonal vegetable, why not try this rather special-looking dish? It looks divine with harissa couscous and many fresh herbs. You may also like to try an Eggplant Caviar. I think I will have to try and make this dip over the weekend. The tablespoon of mayonnaise is optional but vegans may wish to substitute it for Plamil's Egg Free Mayonnaise.
I keep telling myself it's still summer but deep down, me and everyone else in the UK knows the truth. It's okay though because I've found some amazing jackets from Elroy that are perfect for this chillier weather (and they're on sale!).
I knew beer could be poured over hair to remove build-up and add bounce but I never knew maple syrup could be used also. It sounds weird and it sounds sticky but it works. Maple syrup can not only be drizzled over pancakes, it can also be drizzled over your hair!
I first heard about this when watching Kym Douglas on the Ellen show and immediately had to try it out. Just apply some maple syrup to dry hair and leave it to marinate for 20 minutes or so and then wash it out (I used Green People's Organic Shampoo). There is no stickiness involved and I noticed my locks looked shinier and healthier. I know maple syrup can be expensive but sometimes your hair needs a treat and what could be more natural or delicious than maple syrup?
Meridian Organic Maple Syrup - Goodness Direct for £4.99 (love the glass bottle over plastic).
This 'Planet for Children' bag is so stunning and I love that it comes from UNICEF. It is made from organic cotton and 'screen-printed by hand in India by talented artisans at a workshop supporting community projects in health and training.' What a great way to support UNICEF's good work! You can carry this beautiful bag with pride.
Purchase online at the UNICEF Shop (£21.95) or call 0844 888 5505. You can also visit UNICEF UK to learn more about the work UNICEF do.
